Lucas Villafáñez
Attacking Midfielder
Born in Comodoro, Villafáñez broke into Argentina’s Primera División with Independiente by the age of 19 and would move to Greece at the age of 23, emerging as one of the Super League’s standout players while on loan to Panetolikos and soon earning a transfer to Panathinaikos, where he would make 134 total appearances over six seasons (across two separate stints at the club, with stops in Turkey and Mexico in between) and help the Greens win the Greek Cup in 2021/22.
Since leaving Panathinaikos in summer 2022, Villafáñez went on to win the Cypriot league with APOEL in 2023/24 and a Super League promotion with Kifisia in 2024/25, before joining AKFC in August 2026.
