AKFC picked up their third straight win on Saturday afternoon, taking down newly promoted Tilykratis Lefkadas, 3-0, at Grigoris Lamprakis Stadium in Matchday 9 of the 2023/24 Super League 2 season.
Looking to attack straight away, Damián Silva volleyed off the post in the first minute, and AKFC wouldn’t let up until they had the breakthrough.
In the 40th minute, Giannis Loukinas released the ball into space for Orestis Tsintonis, who cut back inside to find an onrushing Panagiotis Kynigopoulos for a sliding finish. Five minutes later, Loukinas doubled the lead from distance, as he caught the ‘keeper just a step off his line and unleashed a glorious curling strike into the top corner.
Tilykratis were able to make things difficult when they had time to set their defensive shape, so it was no coincidence that both goals came with AKFC springing forward quickly. In the 85th minute, they would grab a third goal in the same fashion, as Georgios Moustakopoulos’ brilliant defense-splitting pass set up Kynigopoulos for a breakaway finish to cap the performance.
