SL 24/25: Lamia 0-0 Athens Kallithea

AKFC produced several chances to capture their first win of the season, but ultimately picked up another valuable point in a 0-0 draw away to Lamia on Saturday afternoon.

Georgios Manthatis burst into the box and pulled a shot just wide in the 32nd minute, but AKFC’s best chances would come after the break.

In the 59th minute, substitute Elia Giani set up Demethryus for a curling shot that was denied by goalkeeper Ivan Kostić.

In the 76th minute, Lamia would have a chance on the counter but Andrei Moțoc made a brilliant intervention to eliminate the danger.

In the 83rd minute, Giani was again in the middle of things, this time driving a powerful shot on goal that forced Kostić into an outstanding save.

Three minutes later, Mathieu Valbuena went agonizingly close to a winner, smashing a volley from distance that finally beat Kostić but crashed off the post behind him, and AKFC would have to settle for a scoreless draw.
