Athens Kallithea FC announce the appointment of Sokratis Ofrydopoulos as first team manager.
Ofrydopoulos, 51, is a Kallithea native and former player of the club, whose managerial highlights include winning promotion to the Super League with Levadiakos in 2023/24, having also spent two years at AEK Athens as manager of the reserve team and caretaker manager of the first team (a 12-match spell) from 2021 to 2023. Last season, he took over Chania midseason and guided them to safety in Super League 2.
As a player, Ofrydopoulos began his career with Kallithea from 1991 to 1996, and went on to spend more than a decade in the Super League with Ionikos, PAS Giannina and Asteras Tripolis from 1996 to 2008. He was a key member of the Ionikos team that finished 5th in the league in 1997/98 and 1998/99, reached the Greek Cup Final in 1999/00, and played in the UEFA Cup in 1999/00.
