Samba Lélé Diba joins Athens Kallithea FC

Athens Kallithea FC announce the acquisition of Senegal international midfielder Samba Lélé Diba from Swiss Super League club Servette FC.

Diba, a 20-year-old, 1.95-meter-tall defensive midfielder born in Louga, Senegal, has made 38 total appearances for Servette across all competitions since making his professional debut at the age of 18 in August 2022, including seven total appearances between the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League.

In the 2022/23 season, Diba made 15 league appearances as Servette finished runners-up in the Swiss Super League.

Diba’s debut in European competition came at the age of 19 in August 2023, entering as a substitute for the final half-hour in a 2-1 loss away to Rangers at Ibrox Stadium in Champions League qualifying. Diba went on to feature in six more European matches over the course of last season, including a win over Sheriff and a draw with Roma in the Europa League.

In international play, Diba made his debut for Senegal’s senior national team in September 2023, getting the start against Rwanda in qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
