Athens Kallithea FC announce the acquisition of 27-year-old French striker Migouel Alfarela on loan from Legia Warszawa through the end of the 2024/25 season.
Alfarela, 27, emerged as a major signing for Legia last summer, after scoring 16 goals with six assists over the previous two seasons with Bastia in Ligue 2.
Born in Montivilliers, a commune in Normandy, and of Portuguese descent, Alfarela came through the academy of local club Le Havre, eventually playing for the Le Havre B reserve side for three seasons before moving on from the club. After two and a half seasons with Annecy in France’s lower divisions, Alfarela made his Ligue 2 debut with Paris FC in the 2021/22 season, scoring three goals with one assist while playing mostly off the bench (eight starts, 23 substitute appearances).
Alfarela would arrive at Bastia the following summer, helping the team to a fourth-place finish in 2022/23, before having a breakout season with 12 goals and two assists in 2023/24.
After joining Legia in July 2024, Alfarela made five starts and 17 substitute appearances for the club with one goal and two assists through the first half of the 2024/25 season. He made two starts and five substitute appearances in the UEFA Conference League, as Legia finished seventh in the league phase and qualified for the Round of 16.
Welcome, Migouel.
