Athens Kallithea FC announce the acquisition of midfielder Kaloudis Lemonis, 30, following the mutual termination of his contract with Kalamata.
Lemonis brings a wealth of experience, with 191 career appearances in Greece’s second division. Prior to joining Kalamata last summer, Lemonis served as the captain of Chania, and was a key player in the team that finished second in the promotion race behind AKFC in the 2023/24 season.
Born in Chalkidiki, Lemonis came through the academy of Aris, and would take his first step into men’s football with Thessaloniki side APE Lagkada in the third tier.
Lemonis earned his debut in the second tier with Chania in the 2017/18 season, making 27 league appearances with three goals. After a six-month spell at Dutch side SC Telstar the following season, Lemonis would return to Greece and continue to excel in the second tier with Doxa Drama, Triglia, and Ierapetra over the next three-and-a-half seasons.
In September 2022, Lemonis returned to Chania, where he would spent three more seasons. In 2023/24, Lemonis made 27 appearances with four goals and two assists as Chania finished in second place, marking the best season in the club’s history, while AKFC earned promotion to the Super League. Lemonis was given the captain’s armband last season, and ultimately finished his career at the club with 108 total appearances, which stands as the second-most in club history.
Lemonis joined current league leaders Kalamata in July 2025, and made four appearances with one goal through the first half of the season.
Welcome, Kaloudis.
