Giannis Sotirakos joins Athens Kallithea FC

Athens Kallithea FC announce the acquisition of defender Giannis Sotirakos, 30, on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with newly promoted Super League club Kifisia.

Born in Athens, Sotirakos came through the academy of Olympiacos and began his professional career at Niki Volou, making his Super League debut at the age of 19 in August 2014.

Thereafter, Sotirakos would establish himself in Super League 2, with two seasons each at Acharnaikos, Panachaiki, and Chania before arriving at Kifisia.

Sotirakos would help Kifisia earn their first-ever promotion to the Super League in 2022/23. He would move to Levadiakos in 2023/24, winning promotion to the Super League yet again, before returning to Kifisia last season and winning his third consecutive top-flight promotion.

Through his 11-year career, Sotirakos has made me 192 total appearances with six goals at the Super League 2 level.
