Athens Kallithea FC announce the acquisition of Italian goalkeeper Gian Marco Crespi, 24, on a permanent transfer from Italian Serie B club Spezia Calcio.
Born in Udine, Crespi came through the academy of Udinese, and began his professional career with AC Gozzano in Serie C, making his debut at the age of 18 in August 2019 and going on to make 24 starts in the 2019/20 season.
Crespi was quickly signed by Crotone midway through the 2019/20 season, and he made his Serie A debut for the club the following season, in a 0-0 draw with Fiorentina in May 2021.
Over the next two seasons, Crespi would have three loan spells in Serie C with Pistoiese (16 appearances), Picerno (17 appearances) and Juventus Next Gen (six appearances). Crespi signed a one-year contract with Juventus Next Gen in October 2023, before moving to Spezia in January 2024.
Last season, Crespi made 15 appearances while on loan to Caldiero Terme during the second half of the season.
Welcome, Gian Marco.
