Georgios Moustakopoulos joins Athens Kallithea FC

Athens Kallithea FC announce the acquisition of defensive midfielder Georgios Moustakopoulos on a free transfer.

Moustakopoulos, 24, is a former Greece youth international and has made 116 total appearances at the Super League 2 level between Panachaiki, AEK Athens B, and Apollon Smyrnis plus three first team appearances for AEK Athens.

Born in Patra, Moustakopoulos came through hometown club Panachaiki, making 73 total appearances for the club over four seasons, and would earn a transfer to AEK Athens in summer 2021.

Across the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons, Moustakopoulos would make one appearance in Super League 1 and two appearances in the Greek Cup with AEK's first team along with 30 appearances in Super League 2 for the reserve team.

Moustakopoulos joined Apollon Smyrnis in January 2023, making 17 appearances in the second half of the 2022/23 Super League 2 season and helping the club to a third-place finish.

In international play, Moustakopoulos made three total appearances for Greece’s Under-20 and Under-21 national teams.
