Elia Giani joins Athens Kallithea FC

Athens Kallithea FC announce the acquisition of Italian striker Elia Giani on loan from Italian Serie B club Pisa pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

Giani, a 23-year-old, 1.85-meter-tall second striker, is coming off a breakout season with seven goals and nine assists while on loan to Serie C club Legnago Salus under AKFC manager Massimo Donati.

Born in Empoli, Giani played his youth football at nearby Pisa, eventually making his professional debut in a Serie B match in December 2019, just shy of his 19th birthday.

After a six-month loan at Serie C club Pontedera, where he scored his first professional goal in May 2021, Giani spent the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons on loan at Serie C club Fiorenzuola, making 48 total appearances with two goals and one assist.

In 2023/24, Giani joined newly promoted Legnago, and his 16 goal contributions (seven goals and nine assists) were fourth-best in the league, helping the team qualify for the Serie C promotion playoffs.
