Dimitrios Mavrias joins Athens Kallithea FC

Athens Kallithea FC announce the acquisition of attacker Dimitrios Mavrias, 28, on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Super League 2 side Ilioupoli.

Born in Karditsa, Mavrias began his career in the second tier with Glyfada, making his professional debut at 17 years old, before switching to his hometown club Anagennisi Karditsa, where he would spend two-and-a-half seasons. From there, Mavrias earned a transfer to the Super League with Veria, making his top-flight debut in January 2017 and spending one season with the club.

Returning to the second tier, Mavrias would have productive spells at Apollon Larissa (eight goals in 29 league appearances), Panachaiki (seven goals in 36 league appearances), and Doxa Drama (nine goals in 26 league appearances), before moving to promotion hopefuls Larissa. In three seasons at Larissa, Mavrias would score seven goals with six assists in 76 total league appearances, with the team finishing runners-up each season from 2021/22 through 2023/24.

At Ilioupoli last season, Mavrias registered seven goals and two assists in 25 league appearances.
