Athens Kallithea FC appoint Konstantinos Bratsos as manager

Athens Kallithea FC announce the appointment of Konstantinos Bratsos as first team manager.

Bratsos, 48, has Super League experience with Volos and Kifisia and has also worked in Finland’s top division with AC Oulu.

Born in Volos, Bratsos began his managerial career working with a series of local clubs before graduating to Gamma Ethniki as the manager of Olympiacos Volou.

In July 2020, Bratsos would step up to the Super League, joining the staff of Volos FC and working under managers Ángel López and Guillermo Abascal, before taking over as manager in December 2021.

Bratsos would lead Volos to a 10th place finish in 2021/22 and a 6th place finish in 2022/23, the latter being the best finish in the club’s history.

In January 2024, Bratsos took over last-place Kifisia mid-season and registered 16 points in 13 matches but it would not be enough to save the club from relegation. A month later, Bratsos moved to AC Oulu in the middle of the Finnish season, and he would successfully help the club retain their place in the top flight with 15 points in 12 matches, highlighted by a win over eventual champions KuPS.

Bratsos returned to Volos for three months last season, earning 14 points in 14 matches including away wins over PAOK and Aris.

Welcome, Konstantinos.
