Antonis Anastasiou joins Athens Kallithea FC

Athens Kallithea FC announce the acquisition of left-back Antonis Anastasiou, 29, following the expiration of his contract with Iraklis.

Born in Athens, Anastasiou came through the academy of PAOK, and gained his first professional experience at Acharnaikos, and soon earned an opportunity in the Super League with Kerkyra, making his top flight debut against Olympiacos at the age of 21 in November 2017, and going on to make 11 total appearances during the 2017/18 season.

After Kerkyra’s relegation from the Super League, Anastasiou would remain with the island club in 2018/19, and then feature sparingly at Doxa Drama in 2019/20, before firmly establishing himself as a regular starter in Super League 2 over the last six seasons — playing two seasons at Egaleo, two seasons at Niki Volou (finishing third in the league in consecutive seasons), and two seasons at Iraklis (finishing second in the league in 2024/25 and winning the league in 2025/26).

Anastasiou made 19 league appearances with two assists as Iraklis won promotion to the Super League last season.

In his career overall, Anastasiou has made 179 total appearances at the Super League 2 level, notching two goals and 11 assists.
