Anthony Mounier extends contract

Athens Kallithea FC are pleased to announce that French attacker Anthony Mounier has signed a contract extension through the 2023/24 season.

Mounier, 34, arrived in September 2021 and was the team’s leading scorer in the 2021/22 season with 16 goals — tied for the second-highest total in the league.

The veteran attacking-midfielder has brought a wealth of top-level experience to the club, having played in Ligue 1 (212 total appearances with 29 goals and 40 assists playing for Lyon, Nice, and Montpellier), Serie A (41 appearances with four goals and two assists playing for Bologna and Atalanta), and the Champions League (nine career appearances with two goals). In Greece, Mounier played in Super League 1 for Panathinaikos, Panetolikos, and Apollon Smyrnis before joining AKFC last year.
