Athens Kallithea FC present 26/27 home and away shirts with short fillm

After extending the regularly sold-out 24/26 shirt collection across two seasons, Athens Kallithea FC have returned to the fore with new 26/27 home and away shirts, available now at shop.akfc66.gr.

AKFC are celebrating their 60th anniversary this season, and the new shirt collection honors the occasion — with the club founded in 1966 through a merger of five grassroots clubs, the shirts feature a symbolic five stars above the “AK” monogram crest.

The 26/27 home and away shirts — available in long-sleeve and short-sleeve versions — are traditionally collared shirts with an elegant minimalist appeal.

The home shirt has a deep blue body featuring sets of debossed vertical lines — five lines to a set, carrying on the theme of five — offering subtle texture, along with white embellishments that pop off the shirt and a light blue insert under the arms.

The away shirt has an airy feeling, in crisp white with blue collar, blue embellishments, and sets of blue horizontal stripes — again, five stripes to a set, five sets in total.

Both shirts feature the ΕΜΣΤ wordmark of the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens, which marks the fourth year of this distinctive partnership between a football club and an arts and culture institution.

With the 26/27 collection, AKFC have continued their years-long collaborations with Italian technical partner Kappa and Munich-based design studio Bureau Borsche.

As the centerpiece of the campaign, AKFC have released a short 16 mm film entitled Apopse (“Tonight”), scored with the 1963 song “Apopse” composed by Mimis Plessas and performed by Tzeni Vanou. The film, directed by Theodore Selekos, presents the home and away shirts with a dance duet performed by Greek National Opera-trained dancer Katerina Mageraki and actor Konstantinos Georgalis, with choreography by Nikos Kalivas.

Apopse is a follow-up to the club’s last short film Krata Me Konta Sou released in summer 2024. This time, dance was a new artistic realm to explore, and one that recalls core aspects of people’s love for football, specifically the individual expression and the movement of bodies, which is why the choice was made to film right on the pitch at Grigoris Lamprakis Stadium, affectionately known as El Paso.

The 26/27 AKFC home and away shirts are available exclusively at shop.akfc66.gr. From September, the shirts will also become available at the ΕΜΣΤ museum shop.

A third shirt is set to be released in September-October 2026.
