In anticipation of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the club on 18 August 1966, Athens Kallithea FC, among its activities to commemorate the occasion, is embarking on a project to uncover, curate, and exhibit historical archives related to the club’s founding era, including the opening of Grigoris Lamprakis Stadium, and extending beyond football to other sociocultural aspects of life in Kallithea in the 1960s and 1970s, with the research initiative being led by historian, professor, and author Dr. Alexander Kitroeff.
Dr. Kitroeff is Professor Emeritus of History at Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania, specializing in the history of the Greek diaspora and Greek sport.
