Athens Kallithea FC announce Alex Dunev as majority owner

Athens Kallithea FC announce that Alex Dunev has reached an agreement to acquire the majority stake in the club previously owned by Andrew Barroway, pending approval of Greece's Professional Sports Committee.

Dunev, 47, is a fintech founder and investor based in New York. He currently leads the Asset-Based Finance team of Bow River Capital, a $5 billion asset manager.

Dunev was the co-founder and CIO of Park Cities Asset Management, a leading asset management firm investing in fintech platforms in North America, and also founded SixPoint Capital and Akses Technologies. Previously, he spent 15 years as an investment banker in New York and Los Angeles working for Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, and UBS. He became a minority investor in AKFC in December 2022.

Ted Philipakos and Peter Philipakos remain the club’s second-largest and third-largest investors, respectively.
